If the story of God’s repeated approval behind the building of the Temple tells us anything, it tells us that there is no shame to be found in buildings made of sticks and bricks, so long as those sticks and bricks are used to honor the Lord. There’s no gross indignity that comes with brick and mortar houses of worship, if that brick and mortar is meant to be a home to the people of God. Building consecrations and dedications are as common in the Old Testament as they are in our own day, even in secular society. On this day, December 10, 2023, BridgeWay Christian Church dedicated and consecrated it's new sanctuary.
